At HARMAN, we are seeking a Functional Owner to join our Telematics domain. You will technically lead and coordinate all efforts to monitor and safeguard required features within Telematics projects, serving as the main contact for SW-PL and Functional Domain Leaders. This role requires a thorough understanding of work packages and their status across the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Plan, control, and monitor all tasks related to your assigned domain and track integration of related work products into the overall project.
- Lead the technical direction for team members assigned to your domain.
- Analyze and clarify requirements, interfaces, architecture, and timelines related to your domain with the customer twin, impacted Harman domains, and suppliers.
- Support project leads in evaluating requirements and change requests.
- Report status to the SW project lead and management.
- Manage problem and issue tickets related to your assigned domain.
- Support proof-of-concept activities as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Harman internal and SW engineering processes required by the customer, such as Automotive SPICE, and methods like SAFe.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree (MSc/BSc).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems, preferably in automotive.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in SW development (OOA, OOD, OOP).
- Very good knowledge of automotive System and SW Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and a good system understanding in the embedded SW area.
- Proven experience in the technical coordination of engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.
- Experience working with external customers and OEMs.
- A self-driven, autonomous, and systematic way of working, with the ability to help others achieve this.
- Good English language skills.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Infotainment/Telematics systems and experience working within Automotive projects.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good understanding and working skills in C/C++, Linux, SW architecture (UML), MS Office tools, JIRA, Confluence, ALM, and DOORS.
- Knowledge of SW development processes, such as the V-Model and ASPICE.
- Knowledge of agile methods and frameworks like SAFe is an advantage.
