Flock Safety is hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer III to build, maintain, and scale the planner services that support our exponential growth of live devices. You will help the team track, build, and scale planning tools for deployment specialists, customers, and solutions consultants.

What You'll Do

Build, maintain, and scale the planner services.
Help the team track, build, and scale planning tools for deployment specialists, customers, and solutions consultants.
Complete features with little support and be comfortable picking up engineering tasks of larger size and more ambiguity.
Understand the software design philosophies being used and be comfortable navigating through the code base.
Engage during technical conversations to increase quality of input and contribute ideas for how we build better software.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate across multiple teams to solve problems efficiently.
Understand what works well, limitations, and missing metrics, and start providing feedback.
Build relationships with team members and contribute regularly to sprint process.
Participate in software engineering demo day by presenting a topic you worked on.
Work towards understanding how planner services at Flock work and have a sense of where you want to grow.

What We're Looking For

Motivated by taking an unknown problem, sinking your teeth in, and coming up with a plan of attack.

Excited about working on a fast-paced, constantly evolving product.
Familiar with Typescript (Node) as web services in addition to general API design.
Confident in a modern web framework. We leverage React with Typescript.
Familiar with various data stores and know how to interact with them. Confident in SQL.
Familiar with Docker and how to run locally and deploy remotely via Helm to Kubernetes.
Familiar with AWS and have used some managed services like S3, API Gateway, SQS.

Compensation: $120,000-$160,000 + equity via stock options.
