Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x (architecture, EAV models, UI components)
- Deep, hands-on experience with WordPress (custom themes, hooks, and plugin development)
- A proven ability to inherit, audit, and optimize existing codebases
- Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and Object-Oriented Programming
- Solid grasp of Composer and PSR standards
- Experience optimizing MySQL queries
- Experience managing high-performance caching layers like Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript
- Experience working with REST/GraphQL APIs to connect Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools
- Solid understanding of Git version control, staging-to-production workflows
- Solid understanding of managing Linux-based server environments (Nginx/Apache)
- Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques
Nice to Have
- Specific experience with Magento’s frontend stack (Knockout.js, RequireJS)
- Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar credential
