Theoria Medical, a physician group dedicated to serving patients across the care continuum, is seeking a Senior Application Developer. In this remote role in the Philippines, you will lead the development of high-quality software solutions, ensuring application stability, observability, and performance. You will take ownership of complex tasks, contribute to technical decisions, and mentor team members.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement robust, efficient, and maintainable application code.
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and development best practices.
Contribute to improving development processes and establishing coding standards.
Monitor and optimize application performance, leveraging tools like Azure Application Insights.
Participate in root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative measures.
Collaborate with teams to enhance system reliability, scalability, and resilience.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 5 years in software development with significant experience in complex development tasks.
Extensive hands-on experience in Node.js.
Skilled in working with frameworks including Node.js, .NET, and Spring Boot.
Strong background designing APIs, implementing microservices, and deploying on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor developers, manage code quality, and drive successful project outcomes.
Proactive, self-driven, and committed to delivering results in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in agile and fast-paced environments.
Experience with application performance monitoring tools—particularly Azure Application Insights.
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of backend frameworks including Express.js and Nest.js.
Knowledge of frontend frameworks including React.js and Next.js.
