Reacher is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. You will lead product features from research to shipping, shape our engineering standards, and mentor others in AI-native workflows. Your code will directly impact users on day one in our high-urgency environment.
What You'll Do
- Own and lead product features end-to-end: research, design, implement, test, and ship.
- Lead and shape engineering architecture, setting standards for code quality, testing, and development practices.
- Mentor and guide other engineers in adopting AI-native workflows and establishing best practices.
- Talk directly to customers to translate vague requirements into polished user experiences.
- Design scalable backend systems and build responsive, delightful UIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with minimal oversight.
- Drive architectural decisions and engineering processes to maximize AI-assisted development velocity.
- Ship fast and learn fast.
What We're Looking For
- 2–6 years of professional full-stack experience at a product-first company or FAANG-level environment.
- Comfort building across the entire stack, from schema design and backend APIs to pixel-perfect, accessible frontends.
- Deep care for product, design, and user experience, not just code.
- Experience owning a meaningful product module, infrastructure refactor, or major feature launch end-to-end.
- Ability to set standards for engineering quality and architectural decisions in an AI-native environment.
- Resourcefulness and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, figuring things out independently.
- Strong product intuition and ability to push back on requirements when needed.
- Deep understanding of modern AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code, as your most important skill.
- 'AI-pilled' approach to problem-solving, leveraging AI tools and workflows for any new challenge.
- Strong systems thinking and architectural awareness to direct AI while you architect, review, and verify.
- Demonstrable recent AI-native work: meaningful projects shipped in the last 90 days where AI coding tools were your primary environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience building autonomous agents with the Claude Agent SDK or similar agentic frameworks.
- Experience with AI image/video generation or manipulation using tools like Midjourney, Runway, Stable Diffusion, or Sora.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a first/early engineering hire.
- Experience building internal tooling, dashboards, or systems that scaled to thousands of users.
- Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience building or maintaining design systems.
- Curiosity about AI, e-commerce, or automation.
- Experience shipping side projects or contributing to open-source.
- Experience working directly with designers and contributing to design discussions.
