Responsibilities
- Build bespoke applications using Ruby on Rails
- Manage and configure flexible infrastructure stack including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
- Build and improve Continuous Integration services (GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipeline)
- Run tests, linters, security and accessibility audits and deployments
- Develop high quality and well-tested code
- Take initiative and be resourceful in problem-solving
- Use tools like AI to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve development workflows
- Work in a small, dedicated and high-performing Agile software team
- Work closely with Product Owners and UX/UI designers
- Continuously learn and share knowledge to grow the development team capabilities
- Build strong relationships with Boost team members and clients
- Contribute to award-winning culture by practising core organisational values
Requirements
- Have at a minimum, a couple of years of experience as a software developer
- Be able to self-direct and take initiative
- Adapt well to ambiguity and change
- Value receiving and sharing knowledge
- Enjoy working as part of a driven, high-performing team
- Have a curious mind and a desire to learn more every day
- Enjoy building relationships
Nice to Have
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes
- A Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience or education)
- Enjoy learning about and using AI development tools

Compensation
60000 - 120000 NZD yearly.
