Responsibilities

  • Build bespoke applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Manage and configure flexible infrastructure stack including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Build and improve Continuous Integration services (GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipeline)
  • Run tests, linters, security and accessibility audits and deployments
  • Develop high quality and well-tested code
  • Take initiative and be resourceful in problem-solving
  • Use tools like AI to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve development workflows
  • Work in a small, dedicated and high-performing Agile software team
  • Work closely with Product Owners and UX/UI designers
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge to grow the development team capabilities
  • Build strong relationships with Boost team members and clients
  • Contribute to award-winning culture by practising core organisational values

Requirements

  • Have at a minimum, a couple of years of experience as a software developer
  • Be able to self-direct and take initiative
  • Adapt well to ambiguity and change
  • Value receiving and sharing knowledge
  • Enjoy working as part of a driven, high-performing team
  • Have a curious mind and a desire to learn more every day
  • Enjoy building relationships

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes
  • A Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience or education)
  • Enjoy learning about and using AI development tools

Compensation

60000 - 120000 NZD yearly.
