Engineered Arts is hiring a Full Stack Software Developer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain React and TypeScript applications for cloud-based platforms, prioritizing usability, speed, and long-term maintainability across features like robot fleet management, agent behavior logic, and real-time remote interaction interfaces
  • Create, refine, and support GraphQL APIs alongside Python and Django backend systems, ensuring code is well-tested, modular, and consistently structured across user interfaces, APIs, and components that interact with robots
  • Build and enhance Python services running directly on robots to connect hardware functions, local intelligence, and cloud configurations, increasing dependability under variable network and device conditions
  • Implement and refine large language models and AI workflows—covering streaming responses, function calls, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge storage, and multi-vendor text-to-speech and speech-to-text—transforming unpredictable agent actions into reliable, well-documented product behaviors
  • Enhance AI-driven interactions on humanoid robots by minimizing response delays, controlling operational costs, and ensuring resilience, resulting in dialogue that feels fluid and natural beyond lab settings
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems spanning frontend, backend, and on-device software, while simultaneously improving testing capabilities, system visibility, and code sustainability
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, DevOps, QA engineers, and embedded systems specialists to convert project requirements into functional, high-quality deliverables, offering technical insights on practicality, risks, and development order
  • Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to raising overall code quality within a rapidly evolving and technically complex software environment

Other

  • The organization promotes an inclusive workplace, welcoming individuals regardless of race, religion, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity
  • Applicants from Indigenous communities, racialized groups, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with intersecting identities are especially encouraged to apply
  • Submitting an application means you consent to sharing your resume, contact information, and submitted materials with the hiring team for evaluation purposes
  • Artificial intelligence tools may support recruitment tasks such as scheduling or resume screening, but all hiring decisions are made by human reviewers with full oversight
  • You can request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting privacy@appdirect.com
