Responsibilities
- Lead the migration from WordPress/Elementor to a headless architecture on Storyblok and Next.js, including content modeling, component structure, migration of existing pages and content, and a clean cut-over without SEO regressions.
- Build and maintain the new website by creating reusable components, page templates, and a design system in code that marketers can confidently use through Storyblok's visual editor.
- Own the marketing technology layer by designing and maintaining server-side tracking, building and managing the GTM setup (client and server-side containers), the data layer, and conversion tracking across the funnel.
- Ensure the site remains fast and findable by focusing on Core Web Vitals, technical SEO foundations, structured data, and performance budgets that scale as the site grows.
- Handle consent and compliance correctly by integrating the consent management platform and ensuring tracking respects GDPR and ePrivacy from the start.
- Integrate the stack by connecting the website to marketing and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and other systems via APIs.
- Partner with people by translating marketing goals into technical solutions and collaborating with design and agency partners through launch and beyond.
Requirements
- Strong full stack engineering skills with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript, along with a solid understanding of headless and JAMstack architecture.
- Deep, hands-on experience with headless CMS (ideally Storyblok, alternatively Contentful or Sanity) and real WordPress experience, with the ability to bridge both worlds during a migration.
- Expertise in server-side tracking, including server-side GTM, data layer design, and reliable conversion tracking in a cookie-constrained, privacy-first environment.
- Mastery of GTM, including tags, triggers, variables, and server containers, plus a working understanding of GA4 and consent/CMP integration.
- Fundamentals of technical SEO and web performance, with knowledge of how a migration can quietly tank rankings and how to prevent it.
- Comfort working with APIs and integrating third-party marketing and CRM tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience running a WordPress-to-headless migration end to end.
- Familiarity with Vercel (or similar), CI/CD, and modern deployment workflows.
- A background in B2B SaaS and an understanding of how a marketing website drives pipeline.
- Experience building design systems or component libraries that non-engineers can use safely.
