Optum, a part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performance team focused on building and improving health systems. You will be taking on sophisticated technical challenges that directly impact the health care landscape.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance health technology systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Design and integrate APIs, and manage data using SQL and modern database systems.
- Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, version control with Git, and deployment automation.
- Solve complex problems independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities to deliver results.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in Python programming, including knowledge of frameworks like Pandas.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with DBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Solid understanding of API design principles and experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Git, and deployment automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
