Responsibilities
- Develop a filtering interface that allows users to combine images based on metadata such as capture time, GPS location, or custom tags.
- Enhance the annotation tool to support new capabilities, including polygonal annotations for image segmentation.
- Integrate the core application with external APIs for tasks like outsourcing annotation work and analyzing deployed model performance.
- Improve the onboarding flow to make it more efficient.
- Create deeper integrations with other products, such as Roboflow Universe and the REST API.
- Work on next-generation model-assisted labeling features.
- Optimize the platform for speed and scalability.
Requirements
- Possess a technical generalist mindset.
- Willing to learn and use new stacks or toolchains as needed.
- Have experience with JavaScript and Node.js, which form the majority of the existing codebase.
- Eager to acquire new skills as required.
- Ready to share new knowledge and experiences to help elevate the rest of the team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, particularly in machine learning and image processing pipelines.
- Experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Storage.
- Experience with AWS, including some machine learning infrastructure.
- Experience with Docker, both for internal use and customer-facing products like the edge inference server.
- Experience with TensorFlow.js for browser-based code execution.
- Experience building APIs and client libraries in multiple languages.
- Ability to add rigor to processes and establish a foundation for scaling the engineering organization, such as improving testing practices or adopting opinionated front-end frameworks.

Work Arrangement

Team
Roboflow primarily operates during US daytime hours, with some synchronous meetings each week. Flexible scheduling allows for both collaborative and asynchronous work. Opportunities and resources, such as team onsites and a travel stipend, support in-person collaboration. You can work from hubs, home, or coworking spaces.
