Hunt St is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our development team and contribute to the build and evolution of critical internal systems, including our CRM and Billing platforms. This role requires a strong foundation in backend and frontend development, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, primarily focused on CRM and Billing systems.
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using PHP, Laravel, and Node.js.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to support business logic and connect with third-party services.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement solutions.
Maintain and optimize MySQL databases and ensure data consistency, performance, and integrity.
Implement robust error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms, especially for billing and financial operations.
Integrate with third-party accounting platforms such as Xero, ensuring data accuracy, idempotency, and reliability of financial transactions.
Write unit and integration tests in Laravel to ensure code quality and stability across deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
Proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework, with solid backend development experience.
Strong knowledge of Node.js for server-side development and asynchronous programming.
Deep understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL, and data modeling principles.
Experience building, documenting, and consuming RESTful APIs.
Proven experience integrating external APIs, especially in financial/billing contexts (e.g., Xero).
Understanding of key backend development principles such as idempotency in financial transactions, effective error handling and logging strategies, and security best practices for protecting user and financial data.
Familiarity with test-driven development practices, including writing unit and integration tests in Laravel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Nice to Have

Experience in agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Knowledge of frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) is a plus.
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
