Go Vocal is hiring a Freelance Product Designer on a flexible retainer basis to join our mission-driven team. You will work closely with the Head of Product, Senior Product Designer, and engineering team to shape user experiences that make civic engagement accessible and impactful for communities worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Design intuitive workflows for complex enterprise features, including permissions, integrations, and multi-department collaboration.
- Audit and refine existing platform UX/UI based on user research and feedback.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and design system components.
- Collaborate with product and engineering within 8-week development cycles using the Shape Up methodology.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B or B2G SaaS.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, not just visual design.
- Proven experience designing for complex workflows and enterprise users.
- Proficiency in state-of-the-art design tools (Figma preferred) and AI design tooling.
- A self-directed work style suited to asynchronous collaboration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with civic tech, govtech, or other mission-driven products.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
