Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Economic Analyst - AI Trainer to design complex, realistic tasks that test and train frontier AI agents. This is a flexible, project-based, part-time, and remote opportunity.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits using scattered data and conditional procedures.
- Build detailed task versions with objective scoring, then write ambiguous versions to train agents to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Complete the qualification step, onboard for projects, get familiar with the guidelines interface, and try first real tasks with guidance.
- Directly shape how useful AI models become for future work, from creating training prompts to refining model responses.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Economics or a relevant field with a strong GPA (3.5-4).
- A minimum of 3 years of professional industry experience in accounting or relevant economics fields (e.g., Economics Expert, Analyst, Researcher, or Consultant).
- Advanced (C1) or above level of English proficiency.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Excellent analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
- Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-generated content with some understanding of scoring or evaluation in agent testing.
- Readiness to learn new methods, ability to switch between tasks and topics quickly, and willingness to sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines.
