Responsibilities
- Create photorealistic digital environments for integration into live-action scenes
- Collaborate with supervisors and artists to meet creative direction
- Use reference materials to ensure accuracy in lighting, perspective, and texture
- Produce matte paintings that align with project timelines and quality standards
- Revise artwork based on feedback from leads and supervisors
- Integrate 2D and 3D elements to enhance scene depth and realism
- Maintain consistency across shots within a sequence
- Work within established pipelines and technical constraints
- Deliver high-resolution assets in required formats
- Ensure color accuracy and resolution fidelity for final output
- Support compositing teams with layered or multi-pass deliverables
- Adapt painting style to match different visual tones and periods
- Contribute to look development for virtual environments
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to projection or integration
- Keep files organized and properly labeled
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- Participate in reviews and provide progress updates
- Follow version control practices for asset management
- Use software such as Photoshop, Nuke, or equivalent tools
- Apply knowledge of architectural and natural forms to enhance realism
- Ensure geographic and historical accuracy when required
- Work efficiently without sacrificing quality
