Mindrift seeks a Freelance Accounting Expert to create sophisticated, realistic tasks that challenge and train advanced AI agents. You will leverage your deep accounting expertise to help shape how AI models understand and operate within the financial domain.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits, requiring scattered data, conditional procedures, and genuine domain expertise.
- Build a detailed task version with objective scoring, then write an ambiguous version intended to train the agent to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Complete the qualification step and project onboarding to get familiar with guidelines and try your first real task with guidance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Accounting, or closely aligned areas.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional industry experience in relevant fields (e.g., audit, financial reporting, internal controls, tax, management accounting).
- Familiarity with US GAAP standards.
- Advanced (C1 or above) level of English proficiency.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, including explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and turn it into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
- Motivation to work with challenging, complex guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.
- Ready to learn new methods, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly.
- Laptop, internet connection, and time available for remote work.
Nice to Have
- Chartered accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially if expertise has been used in real-world or consulting contexts.
