Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate FPGA solutions tailored for Open RAN Radio Units.
- Implement and refine digital signal processing algorithms for compute-intensive applications.
- Utilize Xilinx (AMD) FPGA platforms, particularly Zynq; Versal expertise is advantageous.
- Carry out design implementation and verification in Vivado, ensuring timing closure and correct backend execution.
- Partner with system and software teams to convert algorithmic needs into efficient hardware logic.
- Support the evolution and improvement of current ORAN RU product features.
- Engage in hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging activities.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues in FPGA and broader system designs.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on FPGA design and development experience.
- Solid grasp of digital signal processing fundamentals and hardware realization.
- Proficiency in compute architectures with an interest in FPGA-based AI/ML acceleration.
- Direct experience with Xilinx (AMD) tools, especially Vivado and Zynq platforms.
- Strong foundation in RTL design using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog, along with simulation workflows.
- Understanding of synthesis, timing closure, and place-and-route procedures.
- Skilled in using hardware debugging tools and board-level bring-up methods.
- Experience with Siemens Questa for simulation tasks.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Continuous Integration practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and working within Linux environments.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx Versal platforms.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
- Understanding of Open RAN architecture and associated protocols.
- Experience implementing high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PTP, SyncE, and JESD204.
Compensation
€3,500 to €4,300 plus benefits
