Anara is hiring a Founding Designer to lead all things design as we reinvent how scientists discover information and work together. This is a senior/staff level role where you will build the foundation of a design culture that will impact scientific research for decades.

What You'll Do

Talk to users, translate conversations into product features, improvements, and fixes, and work with engineering to ship them.
Build the design team as the company scales, including hiring, establishing design processes, and fostering a culture of rapid iteration.
Own all aspects of visual identity across product, marketing, socials, and brand.
Define and implement design systems, documentation practices, and workflows to build visually consistent, high-quality features quickly.

What We're Looking For

You are quick, scrappy, and first and foremost a hacker/builder.
You have at least a few years shipping complex but beautiful features to real users.
You have excellent taste for well-crafted interaction design and UI details.
You have worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and can drive things forward with relatively little oversight.
