About the Role

The individual in this role will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. They will collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to deliver robust solutions that support rapid growth and evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable server-side applications
• Design and manage databases for performance and reliability
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing features
• Develop secure and efficient APIs
• Optimize backend systems for speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Participate in code reviews and technical planning
• Work closely with product managers to define requirements
• Ensure data integrity and system stability
• Integrate third-party services and tools
• Monitor system performance and respond to alerts
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
• Contribute to technical documentation
• Evaluate new technologies for fit and impact
• Maintain focus on security best practices
• Help define engineering standards and practices
• Assist in setting backend development priorities
• Own backend services from concept to production
• Drive improvements in system reliability
• Collaborate on feature planning and roadmap input
• Mentor other team members as needed
