Responsibilities
- Ensure all personnel receive proper training and supervision
- Deliver prompt and courteous service following Novotel Miami Brickell Food and Beverage standards and company policies
- Take responsibility for the assigned shift and assist in overall management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the assigned shift
- Assist in the overall supervision of the department as outlined
- Check staff punctuality
- Verify staff compliance with grooming standards
- Complete the environmental checklist for the dining room, lobby bar, in-room dining, and pool bar
- Conduct spot checks of liquor pars
- Order daily supplies
- Hold pre-shift meetings
- Follow up on established training steps
- Handle guest comments and complaints
- Ensure guest satisfaction
- Remain on the floor during peak hours
- Communicate with guests and collect feedback
- Observe, teach, and correct staff service
- Monitor each guest's experience
- Examine food preparation
- Examine beverage presentation
- Address any guest complaint
- Assist with in-room dining when required
- Assist with minibar when required
- Assist with any food and beverage front-of-house position when business requires
- Check the setup and cleanliness of the outlets
