As a Flexo Service Technician, you will ensure the reliable operation of carton converting equipment by providing both remote and on-site technical support. Your responsibilities include installing new systems, diagnosing automation and mechanical issues, and performing repairs to maintain peak performance. You'll conduct routine inspections, implement hardware and software updates, and assist with commissioning machines at customer locations or during assembly phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults in industrial printing systems
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance to reduce machine downtime
- Train customers on proper operation and care of equipment
- Support technical teams with detailed analysis and escalation handling
- Conduct plant inspections and report findings to central operations
- Collaborate with parts specialists to clarify component requirements
- Contribute to service documentation and knowledge base improvements
- Participate in field testing for new or updated machinery
- Coordinate service visits and technical initiatives with regional teams
- Engage in continuous learning through training programs and self-study
Qualifications
Applicants should have a solid foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ideally with formal training in a technical trade. Three to five years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery—particularly in printing or automation environments—is required. Familiarity with SPS programming, drive technology, or flexo press systems is an advantage. Candidates must be self-reliant, technically curious, and prepared to travel regularly.
