Capgemini is hiring a Firmware Validation Engineer I to apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems. In this role, you will work on operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for a variety of applications.
What You'll Do
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
- Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer development software such as SQL and VisualBasic.
Technical Stack
- Embedded systems and RTOS environments
- Microcontroller/microprocessor architectures (ARM, PIC, AVR, etc.)
- Test automation frameworks (Python, Robot Framework, Jenkins CI/CD for test execution)
- Source control systems (Git)
- SQL and VisualBasic

- Compensation: $54,300 - $130,000
