LMI is hiring a Firmware Designer

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine firmware for embedded platforms with a focus on reliability and efficient operation.
  • Partner with hardware engineering teams to deliver firmware solutions aligned with wireless embedded system requirements.
  • Program firmware logic for peripheral components including RF modules, sensors, and communication technologies such as Bluetooth, LoRa, satellite, and LTE.
  • Perform debugging and iterative testing of firmware under demanding, mission-critical conditions.
  • Support field validation efforts and deploy firmware updates to meet stringent performance benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate firmware with hardware, software, and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Manage firmware versions and maintain revision control across multiple development projects.
  • Ensure firmware adheres to security standards like MIL-STD, FIPS, and FCC regulations.
