ABOUT US
We are a premium golf brand founded in Amsterdam in 2020, built by golfers who believed the game deserved better gear. We design our own trolleys, bags, and accessories — a modular ecosystem where every product connects. Dutch design heritage, uncompromising quality, a genuine passion for the game. Five years of building has earned us 30,000+ customers across Europe and a 4.7/5 Trustpilot rating.
Now we’re accelerating. Our intelligent electric trolley, launches in 2026. US market expansion follows in 2027. And we’re evolving the brand beyond the course — into new product categories for the design-minded player whose game takes them across cities, countries, and continents. Play anywhere.
This is a lean, ambitious team that holds itself to a high standard and moves fast. Joining now means joining at the moment of acceleration — with real ownership, direct impact, and the chance to help build something that’s just getting started.
THE ROLE:
We are at an inflection point. Revenue is growing, the product portfolio is expanding, a community funding round is live, and US market entry is in planning. The financial function has been carried by a co-founder until now. This role changes that.
This is not a back-office accounting role. It requires someone who understands the full DTC business model — from product design and supplier purchasing through to performance marketing metrics and customer lifetime value. The role works in close cooperation with an external accountant who handles the statutory and compliance layer, freeing this role to focus on commercial analysis, cash management, purchasing decisions, and being a genuine financial partner to the business.
The role demands both defence and offence. Defence means rigorous cost control, clean books, and accurate forecasting. Offence means actively identifying savings, improving margins, and helping the team make smarter commercial decisions.
You’ll be the first dedicated finance hire at a brand hitting its stride — with a direct line to the CEO, a clear path to CFO, and the chance to build the financial infrastructure that supports everything that comes next.
WHAT THE ROLE OWNS
Financial control & reporting
Own the P&L end-to-end: monthly close, management accounts, and financial reporting to the CEO
Maintain accurate books in Exact Online — deep proficiency required
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring supplier terms and cash timing are actively managed
Investor and community funding reporting — clear, accurate, and on schedule
Cash flow management
Own the cash flow forecast and update it continuously — a living model, not a monthly report
Understand the seasonal and campaign-driven cash flow patterns of a DTC brand
Flag cash pressure points early and propose solutions before they become problems
Purchasing & stock management
Work closely with operations on purchasing decisions: supplier terms, order quantities, lead times, payment schedules
Model stock investment scenarios — cost to hold, cost to run out
Understand the margin implications of purchasing decisions before they are made
Marketing & performance metrics
Support the weekly financial forecast led by the marketing department — translate planned spend into revenue, margin, and cash projections; challenge assumptions and surface risks
Track CAC, LTV, contribution margin per channel, and blended ROAS from a financial lens
Model campaign and product launch scenarios: break-even, profitable scale
Cost control & margin improvement
Maintain a clear view of costs across the business: COGS, logistics, fulfilment, marketing, overheads
Actively identify cost reduction opportunities and present them with a clear business case
Track contribution margin per product and per channel
Systems & AI workflow
Manage Exact Online as the financial system of record
Work within the Shopify and Xcore ecosystem — Xcore syncs Shopify to Exact Online
Actively build AI projects in Claude to automate and speed up financial workflows: recurring reports, reconciliation, scenario modelling, stock forecasting
Set up and document AI-powered processes so the whole team benefits
REMOTE WORKING STYLE
Location: Amsterdam preferred; CET ±1 hour remote considered for the right candidate
