Responsibilities
- Finalize the monthly close process for management accounts, including preparation of reporting packages with KPI analysis, variance explanations, and required journal entries.
- Calculate and analyze weekly performance metrics for a manufacturing site, covering production output, labor expenses, recovery rates, fixed costs, and transfer pricing impacts.
- Aggregate financial and operational data from various sources to detect trends in actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist the Cluster Accountant with financial analysis and variance reviews, delivering actionable insights to leadership and finance business partners.
- Improve data governance by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct 'what-if' scenario modeling using analytical reasoning to assess potential outcomes and recommend strategic options.
- Work with the Cluster Accountant to accurately categorize and report month-end financial results with timely and comparable data.
- Develop and deliver standardized quarterly performance reports for executive review under the guidance of the Cluster Accountant.
- Promote consistency and knowledge sharing by advancing best practices across the Shared Finance team.
- Support ongoing enhancements to financial systems and operational workflows.
- Assist in automating data processes and integrating enterprise-wide data for performance reporting.
- Prepare or review SOX compliance controls and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests with accurate and complete documentation.
