About the Role
The Driver Operations team conducts weekly in-vehicle testing to support development and validation, creating prioritized test plans based on requests and business needs, executing tests with coordination and communication, and expanding geographic coverage through internal testers and partners in multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- Receive and analyze testing requests from various teams
- Transform requirements into dependable and comprehensive test cases
- Establish and rank weekly test plans considering scope, urgency, and resources
- Organize test execution worldwide with internal drivers and external partners
- Conduct drive testing in vehicles for quality assurance, demonstrations, releases, and special requests
- Help oversee the management of testing vehicles domestically and internationally
- Report issues, obstacles, or feature observations through organized feedback
- Aid in monitoring and presenting testing metrics
- Gain extensive functional expertise of products via practical testing
- Keep stakeholders informed with clear, proactive communication during testing phases
Requirements
- Minimum three years experience coordinating automotive testing
- Possession of a valid driver's license and passport; willingness to travel on short notice
- Practical experience troubleshooting hardware and software in vehicle settings
- Proficiency with command-line tools, including Android Debug Bridge (ADB)
- Effective communication via Slack, email, and meetings; ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of CAN, ADAS, navigation systems, and mapping technology
Nice to Have
- Experience managing multiple testing threads across remote teams
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar bug tracking systems
- Skill in clear communication across different functional areas, from technical to non-technical
Compensation
Hourly compensation ranges from $50 - $60 per hour
