Jobgether is hiring a Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on start-up, testing, maintenance, and repair services for advanced power electronics systems directly at client sites. This role involves extensive travel, direct client interaction, and technical problem-solving across a range of critical power infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Perform start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on power electronic equipment including inverters, rectifiers, voltage regulators, static switches, and industrial batteries.
- Utilize technical drawings and documents to expedite repairs and restore client operations efficiently.
- Employ oscilloscopes, multi-meters, infrared cameras, and other test equipment for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Follow all electrical safety rules and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Maintain detailed, concise, and timely technical service reports.
- Recognize and communicate opportunities to showcase technical expertise to clients.
- Manage corporate credit card expenses and travel logistics accurately.
- Travel up to 80% of the time, primarily within the Eastern U.S., including overnight stays and on-call responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Associate of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or military equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, preferably with DC power systems, UPS, and large stationary batteries (24VDC–600VDC).
- Ability to work independently and autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, reach, and travel frequently by car or airplane.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong AC/DC power electronics knowledge and practical application skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
