About the Role
The engineer will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair advanced scientific instruments, providing high-level technical service to clients while working independently in a remote capacity.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission equipment at customer sites
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration procedures
- Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding equipment performance
- Provide on-site and remote technical support
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues
- Follow up on service requests in a timely manner
- Train customers on proper equipment usage
- Monitor equipment performance post-installation
- Adhere to service level agreements
- Carry service tools and spare parts as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel locally to customer locations as required
- Maintain company-owned service vehicles
- Report technical feedback to product development teams
- Support validation and qualification documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules
- Ensure timely completion of service reports
- Follow quality management protocols
- Respond to emergency service calls when necessary
- Coordinate with sales teams for pre-sale technical input
- Maintain inventory of field service supplies
- Stay current with product updates and technical training
