Sartorius seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide critical technical support and service for Bio Analytics instruments, serving customers in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry. You will be the face of Sartorius in the field, ensuring instrument performance and customer satisfaction across the greater eastern region of North America.
What You'll Do
- Provide exceptional customer care and build positive relationships.
- Deliver technical support, troubleshooting, repair, and service for technical equipment.
- Perform field service, calibration, installation, preventative maintenance, and field sterilizations for complex mechanical systems.
- Travel to customer sites throughout the region by ground, train, and air as needed.
- Train customers on the essential use and operation of instruments.
- Assist in resolving IT issues related to system installations.
- Follow all company procedures, including performing software updates and upgrades.
- Keep accurate written records and maintain a precise count of assigned parts.
- Produce timely, accurate, and detailed service reports.
- Prepare customer-facing estimates for repairs.
- Pass along identified sales leads to the sales manager.
- Travel to other facilities for training and conferences as required.
- Lift items weighing up to 35 Kg.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate's degree in engineering or military training certifications with 3+ years of field service experience OR 10+ years of proven field service experience.
- 3+ years of field service experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry or a related field.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with excellent mechanical, electrical, and IT skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficient with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Must be located in the Greater Boston Area.
Nice to Have
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.

Work Mode
This is a local, field-based role requiring travel to customer sites across the region. You must be located in and operate from the Greater Boston Area.
