Responsibilities
- Ascend roofs exceeding two stories in height and with steep inclines
- Repeatedly handle, position, and climb a 32-foot extension ladder multiple times daily, several days per week
- Lift, transport, and set up ladders and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds on a daily basis
- Create sketches and take precise measurements of roof or room components
- Determine the area of variously shaped and sized roofs, rooms, and inspection zones
- Conduct thorough, objective roof inspections including assessment of age, leaks, wear, hail and wind damage, and prior repairs
- Deliver accurate and high-standard inspections for residential and commercial properties
- Input required photos, measurements, and documentation using proprietary software on mobile and laptop devices according to reporting standards
- Travel daily within a 100-mile radius for scheduled inspections, involving two to five hours of driving per day
- Travel beyond a 100-mile radius for inspections in regions affected by weather-related disasters as needed, with assignments lasting two to six weeks
- Adhere to safety and professional standards mandated by insurance providers
- Collaborate with internal support teams to complete assigned tasks
- Report customer or client concerns to appropriate personnel when necessary
- Complete additional duties as directed

- HAAG Certification must be obtained within the first year if not already held
- Work primarily conducted outdoors during property evaluations
- Occasional indoor property inspections required
- Fully remote work arrangement
- Capable of standing or walking for extended durations
- Able to drive up to five hours per day
- Required to kneel, squat, or bend as needed
- Work in varying outdoor temperatures, both hot and cold
- Frequent climbing, crawling, stooping, reaching, and overhead work
- Lift, carry, push, and pull loads up to 100 pounds
- Maintain continuous manual dexterity in both hands
- Lift files, access filing cabinets, and use a stool when necessary
- Regular use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, and copiers
- Position classified as a 1099 independent contractor
- Set personal availability schedule
- Full-time travel required for assignments
- Hotel expenses covered or reimbursed during catastrophe (CAT) deployments
