Responsibilities
- Execute the installation and deployment of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for the CSMT redevelopment initiative.
- Ensure all system designs follow applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other project participants to integrate MEPF components effectively.
- Coordinate across engineering disciplines to identify and resolve design clashes during planning stages.
- Deliver technical guidance during construction to ensure high-quality and efficient MEPF system execution.
- Supervise and support junior field engineers within the team.
- Assist in project scheduling by estimating timeframes, resources, and potential obstacles tied to MEPF work.
- Track and manage expenditures related to MEPF systems to stay within approved budgets.
- Propose cost-efficient alternatives that maintain performance and quality standards.
- Enforce quality control procedures to meet or surpass industry benchmarks for MEPF installations.
- Perform routine site inspections to confirm adherence to specifications during construction.
- Recognize risks associated with MEPF systems and formulate mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to solve unexpected issues as they arise.
- Keep current with updates to regulations and technical codes affecting MEPF systems.
- Ensure designs comply with all legal requirements and secure required permits and approvals.
- Supervise the creation and upkeep of detailed documentation for all MEPF system components.
