LVT is hiring a Field Application Scientist

About the Role

LVT is looking for a Field Application Scientist 2 to provide critical applications support, including installation, system validation, training, and technical consultation. You will work directly with customers using our high throughput sequencing, microarray systems, and bioinformatics products, fostering adoption and ensuring their success.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and execute installations independently, including facility inspections, instrument validation, and customer training.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to user technique, assay design, experimental design, software, and instruments, managing situations with a broader perspective.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in your assigned territory.
  • Help increase product usage and support sales efforts through technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Contribute to improving key company processes to build a world-class customer support organization.
  • Act as a key conduit for customer feedback to marketing and product development teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated understanding of commonly-used sequencing data analysis software applications.
  • Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Bioinformatics.
  • Prior field experience supporting customers using sequencing or array technologies.
  • Experience supporting testing companies and hospitals.
  • 3-5 years of biotech experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with next-generation or high throughput sequencing sample prep technologies and protocols.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with external partners.
  • Experience in clinical NGS applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with instrumentation such as liquid handling robotics and/or optical scanners.
  • Demonstrated experience with Bioinformatics product or CLI.
  • Experience in Multiomics applications.
