Responsibilities
- Reports to the Feed Scheduling Dispatcher for daily assignments.
- Spends approximately 45 to 55 hours weekly transporting feed to sow farms and finishing locations.
- Maintains a professional presence when interacting off-site, including at fuel stops and during transit.
- Operates with safety as a priority at the feed mill and while driving commercial vehicles.
- Knows the procedures for driving, loading, unloading, flushing, and sequencing feed batches.
- Ensures all biosecurity protocols are followed at feed facilities and animal sites.
- Supports a culture of safety across feed and grain operations.
- Cleans and disinfects feed trucks according to company guidelines.
- Adheres to all departmental policies and procedures.
- Collaborates effectively with coworkers, farm staff, and management.
- Shows dedication to job duties and assigned tasks.
- Complies with Department of Transportation regulations, including accurate completion of logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Performs additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
