About the Role
This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with federal agencies, leading full-cycle sales efforts from prospecting to close, and meeting revenue targets within a regulated government environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within federal departments and agencies
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for government entities
- Conduct discovery calls and in-person meetings with decision-makers
- Present solutions tailored to federal compliance and security requirements
- Navigate government procurement processes and contracting vehicles
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized demonstrations
- Manage a pipeline of federal sales opportunities
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in defense and civilian agencies
- Stay current on federal IT priorities and regulatory trends
- Coordinate with partners and integrators on joint pursuits
- Deliver formal briefings and solution overviews to technical and executive audiences
- Track all customer interactions in CRM systems
- Respond to government requests for information and proposals
- Advocate for customer needs internally to influence product direction
Nice to Have
- Experience selling data security or identity management solutions
- Existing relationships within DoD or civilian agencies
- Knowledge of FedRAMP and compliance standards
- Past work with systems integrators on federal bids
- Clear understanding of GSA schedules and contract vehicles
