Responsibilities
- Conduct research and assist in preparing written content for publications, briefings, or similar materials
- Gather, analyze, and summarize data to support policy-related research
- Carry out literature reviews to support analytical frameworks
- Help organize and manage logistics for events and meetings
- Complete various administrative duties as needed
- Collaborate on cross-disciplinary research focused on shaping AI governance and policy
- Develop an independent research project over the internship period, concluding with a formal presentation to senior leadership

- Internship duration: approximately 12 weeks
- Work hours: minimum 20 to 30 hours per week, with some flexibility around academic schedules
- Opportunity to attend meetings, think tank events, professional development workshops, and public Brookings events
- Networking opportunities with other interns across the Institution
- PhD students are not eligible for internships
- Position open to hybrid and/or remote applicants, provided they reside outside of the following states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington
