Responsibilities
- Advise clients on Fair Lending and CRA compliance efforts, ensuring they are risk-based and appropriate for the institution's size and complexity.
- Recommend annual Fair Lending and CRA plans, including program, policy, and procedure reviews, training, testing, monitoring, risk assessments, complaints analysis, issues management, and reporting.
- Review client credit policies, procedures, loan pricing, and marketing strategies.
- Map current state processes.
- Assess current state processes for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Recommend changes to procedures and documentation.
- Create and maintain gap analysis detail reports.
- Manage large data sets, troubleshoot, develop efficient data collection and aggregation processes, and synthesize data into KRIs and KPIs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Identify issues and escalate as needed.
- Create and maintain reporting decks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Expert knowledge of Federal consumer protection and Fair Lending laws, rules, regulations, and regulatory guidance or examination processes.
- 8+ years of experience in financial institutions in Fair Lending, CRA, UDAAP, or compliance roles.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including presentations and report writing for clients.
- Strong analytical skills, including data and statistical analysis.
- Effective project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a deadline-driven consulting environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- Proficiency with Risk Exec or CRA/Fair Lending Wiz is a plus.
