Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, and implement staff development programs.
- Develop department capabilities and resources to meet current and future staffing needs.
- Ensure facility compliance with codes, regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to oversee key functions within Facilities Management.
- Communicate with customers and ensure follow-up on work orders.
- Provide regular status reports to customer and ABM management.
- Maintain an efficient and productive organization using leadership skills; review and evaluate departmental personnel performance; provide guidance, training, and recognition as needed.
- Comply with customer and ABM corporate policies, communicate them to subordinates, and ensure subordinate compliance.
- Evaluate improvements, suggestions, proposals, and project requirements; determine feasibility and economic worth.
- Ensure reactive and preventive maintenance activities are appropriately balanced; monitor current and deferred maintenance backlogs; adjust priorities or resources as needed and ensure deferred maintenance is adequately documented.
- Review completed work regularly and ensure quality standards are met or exceeded to customer satisfaction.
- Utilize the maximum capabilities of ABM’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Advise Senior Management on Facilities Maintenance issues between Savannah and other GAC sites as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
