Responsibilities
- Installs, services, and repairs production machinery and plant systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Quickly addresses mechanical and maintenance issues to avoid delays in production timelines.
- Adheres strictly to lock-out and tag-out safety procedures during equipment servicing.
- Repairs conveyor belts, performs minor equipment fixes, and replaces worn or faulty components.
- Evaluates equipment to determine appropriate maintenance timing and methods.
- Works with electrical systems ranging from low to high voltage, including 24 volts up to 480-volt three-phase power.
- Maintains physical stamina to stand or crouch for extended durations during maintenance tasks.
- Operates ladders and scissor lifts to access elevated work areas safely.
- Performs welding on 18-gauge stainless steel using MIG or TIG techniques as needed.
- Identifies and uses correct tools and equipment for each maintenance task.
- Troubleshoots and repairs machinery independently using proper diagnostic methods and tools.
- Observes machine gauges, dials, and operational indicators to verify proper function.
- Maintains accurate logs of all maintenance activities and interventions.
- Documents all work performed with attention to detail and compliance.
- Updates maintenance history records and completes required administrative forms.
- Tracks and accounts for all tools and equipment used during repair and maintenance work.
- Follows company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies in all tasks.
- Complies with all established safety regulations and protocols.
- Keeps assigned workspaces clean, organized, and safe.
- May be scheduled for extended shifts, including weekends, based on operational needs.
- May take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
