Responsibilities
- Create and sustain the External Interface Management Plan for a high-speed rail project, including interface matrices, RACI charts, and communication protocols across linear and nodal infrastructure
- Oversee the full lifecycle of technical interfaces from identification through resolution and verification, ensuring proper support and control mechanisms are in place
- Develop and manage the external interface roadmap aligned with project deliverables, integrating dependencies into the master schedule
- Ensure interface documentation meets quality standards and supports technical performance objectives
- Serve as the main technical liaison with external parties including government agencies, rail operators, utility providers, regulators, and neighboring project teams
- Lead regular coordination sessions and technical evaluations with stakeholders
- Obtain necessary inputs and approvals, verifying that external requirements are documented and incorporated into HSR design
- Support risk management by contributing to the project's risk register
- Identify changes impacting external interfaces and assist in managing related agreements
- Raise critical issues with recovery strategies linked to major project milestones
- Keep updated records of interface specifications, assumptions, decisions, and communications
- Generate regular status reports on interfaces, permits, risks, and program impacts for leadership and governance review
- Maintain traceable records to meet regulatory, contractual, safety, and RAMS compliance requirements
