Texas Woman’s University is hiring an Experiential Learning Support Specialist to provide essential support to the Associate Director of the School of Occupational Therapy (SOT). You will play a central role in increasing the effectiveness of occupational therapy programs and facilitating smooth operations for fieldwork and capstone administration across all campuses. This position involves considerable responsibility for office efficiency, database management, and public contact.
What You'll Do
- Submit and maintain all experiential learning contracts and agreements for the SOT across three campuses to ensure they are current, accurate, and properly signed.
- Stay current on policies and procedures and interpret them for the School of Occupational Therapy.
- Examine correspondence, determine work priorities and schedules, and supervise student workers in the Denton SOT office.
- Prepare memoranda to communicate with students, site contacts, and TWU General Counsel, ensuring accuracy and proofreading outgoing correspondence.
- Compile or supervise the gathering of information for student fieldwork admission, progression, retention, and completion.
- Answer correspondence as assigned without constant need to consult the administrator.
- Maintain confidential records and files.
- Coordinate work with other campus departments and with the SOT in Dallas and Houston as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator of Academic Program Support, Coordinator-SOT Experiential Learning Support, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Capstone Coordinator, Faculty Fieldwork Associates, and support staff in Dallas and Houston.
- Cover for the Coordinator-SOT Experiential Learning Support on a short-term basis as needed.
- Assist with the efficient running of the OT Denton office with general support and coverage.
- Assist with OT DEN student and faculty events as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of progressive responsibilities in clerical duties.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in database management, event coordination, and inventory management.

Team & Environment
The role reports to the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and may supervise Student Assistants. You will work collaboratively with support staff across campuses.
