Drive customer success through technical expertise and collaboration
As an experienced Application Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling customer designs from concept through to tape-out. You'll act as a technical advisor, working directly with design teams to resolve complex issues across digital and analog/mixed-signal domains. Your deep understanding of IC design flows will allow you to diagnose and solve challenges in physical and electrical verification, performance, power, and area optimization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical customer engagements, coordinating with internal PDK, IP, and methodology teams as well as external EDA and IP providers
- Develop and deliver training programs to onboard customers and accelerate their use of our technologies
- Support design debugging and resolution, leveraging tools such as Cadence EDA platforms, SPICE simulation, and Monte-Carlo analysis
- Advise on process technology selection and system architecture tailored to applications in automotive, IoT, AI, and connectivity
- Address PPA targets with customized solutions and support final tapeout readiness
- Contribute to IP development, including view generation and integration validation
- Mentor junior engineers and help build technical capability within the team
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in back-end digital and analog/mixed-signal design, from RTL or schematic to GDS
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Cadence EDA tools and design enablement flows
- Expertise in digital implementation—synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, EMIR, and physical verification
- Experience with Virtuoso, variation analysis, reliability checks, and physical signoff
- Familiarity with SoC design principles and quality requirements for automotive, AI, or connected devices
- Fluency in English (C1 or higher) and strong interpersonal skills
