As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be a critical player in our data team, architecting, constructing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that power our data-driven decision-making. You'll work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to ensure our data assets are available, reliable, and accessible, enabling us to extract killer insights and deliver game-changing solutions.
Travel expectations range from 0-15%, depending on project and organizational needs.
Requirements
What you'll be doing:
- Serving as a Data Engineer focused on delivering data solutions for Business and Studio.
- Designing and building robust data models to support Data Science, Business Intelligence, and downstream data sets.
- Crafting APIs and data products to seamlessly integrate data across our systems and processes.
- Monitoring data pipelines and proactively communicating any issues to leadership and partners.
- Collaborating closely with business partners and developers to ensure crystal-clear requirements for our various initiatives.
- Coordinating cross-functional and cross-team efforts with developers and leadership.
You Rock at:
- Proven track record as a Data Engineer/Data Quality Engineer in high-velocity environments
- Expert-level SQL and SQL-like query language skills
- Deep Python expertise and experience organizing Python-based projects
- Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Solid background in ETL and ELT processes
- Proficiency with Cloud Azure and its service ecosystem
- Comprehensive understanding of data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault)
Would be Nice to have:
- Experience developing automated unit and integration testing frameworks for data projects
- Background in Business Intelligence and Business Analysis
- Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation
- Experience with Tableau
- Knowledge of CI/CD automation using Gitlab
- Experience with batch and streaming data pipelines
- Expertise in data ingestion from 3rd party vendors via APIs
- Skills in integrating data platforms with observability tools
- Exceptional communication skills, able to adapt your approach for different audiences and bridge gaps between developers, partners, and leadership.
