Responsibilities
- Translate in-game text, user interface elements, legal content, and supporting materials according to client specifications, official terminology, and defined stylistic guidelines.
- Review and edit translated content to ensure correctness, consistency, and natural-sounding language.
- Adapt creative content and manage localization assets such as glossaries, style guides, and character profiles within defined ownership structures.
- Deliver work on schedule and meet productivity benchmarks without compromising quality within established localization workflows.
- Maintain uniform tone, voice, and terminology across all game-related content and components.
- Collaborate with other linguists to ensure cohesive and logically structured content.
- Identify and resolve localization problems, including feedback from reviews and bugs detected during testing phases.
- Utilize translation and project management platforms such as memoQ, JIRA, and client-specific systems to monitor progress and support workflow transparency.
- Log, track, and respond to localization queries following team procedures.
- Support onboarding of new translators by sharing knowledge on language-specific tools and project expectations.
- Participate in evaluating candidate test submissions and assist in updating test materials when necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with clients on language-related matters to ensure content remains aligned with project goals.
- Adapt quickly to shifting project needs, priorities, and requirements.
