iHerb is hiring an EU Labeling & Product Notification Submission Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Review product labels across all categories to verify compliance with EU regulations including ingredient lists, allergen disclosures, nutritional information, claims, and country-of-origin labeling
  • Handle submissions of product notifications to EU national authorities through designated systems such as CPNP for cosmetics and EFSA for novel foods, as well as national supplement portals
  • Enhance internal processes and tools to increase efficiency in managing notifications for both current and new products and suppliers
  • Keep a structured internal database tracking label iterations, submission histories, and approval statuses by product and EU market
  • Coordinate with regulatory and sustainability compliance experts to ensure labeling meets both legal and environmental standards
  • Engage with marketing, design, and product development teams to integrate labeling requirements early in product planning stages
  • Ensure supporting documentation such as Certificates of Analysis, safety assessments, and GMP records are properly linked to product notifications
  • Support warehouse operations by aligning labeling practices with traceability requirements
  • Monitor and manage deadlines for regulatory renewals across all active EU member states
  • Stay updated on changes in EU labeling laws and revise internal templates and standard operating procedures accordingly

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough label reviews across all product categories to ensure full compliance with EU labeling requirements (ingredients, allergens, nutrition declarations, claims, country of origin, etc.)
  • Manage product notification submissions to EU member states across relevant portals and systems (e.g., CPNP for cosmetics, EFSA novel food notifications, national food supplement notification portals)
  • Work on improving internal tools and optimize notification efficiency for existing and new products/ suppliers
  • Maintain and manage an organized internal database of label versions, submission records, and approval statuses by market and product
  • Collaborate closely with the EU Compliance Specialist and Sustainability Specialist to align labeling with regulatory and sustainability requirements
  • Liaise with marketing, design, and product development teams to communicate labeling requirements early in the product lifecycle
  • Ensure all product documentation (COAs, safety assessments, GMP records) is accurately filed and associated with the correct product notifications
  • Support fulfillment center compliance by ensuring traceability documentation and labeling are aligned
  • Track regulatory deadlines and renewal requirements for product notifications across all active EU member states
  • Monitor evolving EU labeling legislation and update internal templates and SOPs accordingly
