Seagate is seeking an Equipment Development Engineer Intern to join our team developing advanced, intelligent automated manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will assist in designing and developing machine learning dashboards for equipment development, with a focus on image/video AI analytics and Large Language Model Chatbots. You will also perform fine-tuning and optimization for performance scalability and reliability within this domain.
What You'll Do
- Assist in designing and developing machine learning dashboards tailored for equipment development, including image & video AI analytics and Large Language Model Chatbots.
- Perform fine-tuning and optimization for performance, scalability, and reliability within the equipment development domain.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, Computing in Artificial Intelligence, or a similar/equivalent engineering field.
- Knowledge in Python, Web design, the PyTorch library, and/or other machine learning frameworks.
- Self-motivated, independent, and a team player with strong analytical skills.
- Able to commit to a full internship from May to December.
Nice to Have
- Experience in data science and AI technology through past projects.
- Preliminary skillset in image processing and graphics programming.
- Enthusiasm for employing leading AI tools such as GenAI, SNN, CNN, ResNet, YOLO, LLM, and Agentic AI.
- Interest in transforming data science prototypes into production-ready solutions.
