Responsibilities
- Support daily operations and configuration of mainframe, mini, or client/server systems.
- Help improve system efficiency and effective use of resources.
- Conduct analysis and planning for system capacity needs.
- Assist users in accessing and effectively using business applications.
- Evaluate workflow, organizational structure, and planning issues to determine information needs.
- Support senior and mid-level analysts in formulating corrective solutions.
- Contribute to the development of automated information systems from initial concept through completion.
- Identify system issues, define requirements, and prepare program specifications for developers.
- Collaborate with programming staff under supervision to ensure accurate implementation of system designs.
- Partner with functional users to explore and develop alternative system solutions.
- Support system setup, performance tuning, and resource allocation.
- Carry out capacity assessments and track system performance metrics.
- Offer assistance to users in navigating and operating business systems.
- Work alongside senior analysts to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Develop system requirements and technical specifications for new features and systems.
- Coordinate closely with development teams to ensure correct execution of system designs.
