About the Role

The role involves managing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, reduce workplace risks, and support sustainable operations across facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety policies
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
  • Manage emergency preparedness and response planning
  • Oversee employee safety training programs
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies during audits and inspections
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all EHS programs
  • Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting
  • Evaluate new equipment and processes for safety risks
  • Promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Monitor air emissions, wastewater discharge, and waste management practices
  • Implement corrective actions following non-compliance findings
  • Assist in risk assessments for new projects
  • Manage contractor safety programs
  • Update safety data sheets and chemical inventories
  • Lead safety committee meetings
  • Ensure fire protection systems are operational and inspected
  • Support continuous improvement of EHS management systems
  • Administer respiratory protection and hearing conservation programs
  • Track occupational illness and injury trends
  • Ensure machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures are followed
  • Provide EHS guidance during facility expansions or modifications
