Responsibilities
- Support AECOM projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG)/Sustainability initiative.
- Work with senior level staff to provide technical analysis and deliverables for current and prospective clients for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, remedial action, fate and transport modeling, innovative sampling approaches, etc.
- Planning and directing field activities for data collection, and data management.
- Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants, academia, and external agencies.
- Engage in internal Technical Practice Groups, coordinate with company’s regional and national experts and professional development.
- Operate equipment such as skid steers and excavators.
- Direct subcontractors and perform supervisory work.
- Screen soil and debris for contaminants.
- Perform manual digging.
- Collect soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air samples.
- Manually process residual solid products (e.g., size and wet).
- Document work completed.
- Conduct general operation and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Experience managing/coordinating environmental projects
- Experience supervising/conducting environmental field work
- Experience writing environmental technical reports
- Must be local or willing to relocate to the Ashland, WI area or commute on a daily basis
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — Ashland, Wisconsin
Additional Information
- In the summer months, on site 5 days a week
- In the winter months, on site 1 day a week with the rest of the week from a home office
