Responsibilities
- Oversee assigned tasks within broader project scopes
- Support planning and execution of advanced field investigations including drilling, core logging, well installation, groundwater monitoring, and follow-up remediation efforts
- Direct and supervise multidisciplinary scientific teams during extensive field operations
- Supervise drilling contractors in real time, ensuring accurate soil and rock core documentation and proper construction of monitoring wells
- Follow established field protocols using standard equipment to collect environmental samples from soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment; prepare samples for transport and complete required chain-of-custody forms
- Develop technical reports and planning documents with assistance from entry-level team members
- Support project managers in drafting proposals and estimating project costs
- Collaborate with procurement specialists to select and manage subcontractor services
- Help prepare regulatory permits and site access agreements with government bodies and external stakeholders
- Engage with federal and private clients, building relationships through technical expertise and participation in site inspections and planning sessions
- Contribute to the design and execution of remediation activities
