Responsibilities
- Perform or review structural calculations for equipment such as pressure vessels, steel stacks, derricks, and piping systems.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to deliver technical solutions and address structural concerns.
- Travel occasionally within the U.S. or abroad for meetings or site inspections.
- Deliver technical talks to internal teams on structural engineering topics.
- Serve as a technical point of contact between domestic and international engineering teams.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure structural designs use readily available materials and components.
- Work with drafting and manufacturing departments to develop practical, fabricable structural designs.
- Support Applications Engineers with structural input during the quoting process.
- Produce clear and accurate documentation for structural design deliverables.
- Apply fundamental engineering principles to resolve technical challenges.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in design processes.
