Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team across multiple countries.
- Design, build, and enhance features for Yelp Host to enable businesses to connect with customers through voice AI at scale.
- Engage in projects such as call intelligence, utilizing LLMs to analyze phone calls and provide insights to restaurants.
- Attend daily standups and collaborative meetings, working closely with product managers, senior engineers, and designers.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers for mentorship and practical learning.
- Consider user experience deeply and propose ideas for continuous improvement.
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python, JavaScript, and React, and use AI coding tools like Claude, Cursor, and Codex to boost productivity when needed.
Requirements
- All communication for this role, both spoken and written, must be in English.
- Educational background, work experience, or interest in full stack development with backend and frontend frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern languages and frameworks such as Python, MySQL, React, and JavaScript.
- Eagerness to learn about applied AI and LLMs, and to implement practical solutions for real business challenges quickly.
- Comfort working in a Unix environment.
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to communicate with various technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Openness to mentorship, feedback, and new challenges.
- Passion for learning and building technology that creates real-world impact.
