Responsibilities
- Design and manage data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows that transport and transform data across databases, enterprise platforms, and cloud infrastructures.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, verify, and interpret data while learning relational data structures and schema designs.
- Use Python and similar scripting tools to automate data handling, validation, and recurring operational tasks.
- Assist in connecting data from business systems including ERP, WMS, CRM, and eCommerce platforms, both internal and external.
- Monitor data workflows and resolve issues involving data integrity, job failures, missing entries, or anomalies.
- Create and implement data validation rules and quality controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analytics and AI systems.
- Work with APIs, JSON, XML, and webhooks to transfer and integrate data between applications and services.
- Partner with data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to define data needs and build robust technical implementations.
- Document data sources, transformation logic, schema designs, interdependencies, and pipeline operations to support long-term maintainability.
- Support CI/CD practices for data engineering, including version control, testing, and deployment automation.
- Gain practical experience with cloud-based data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and related services.
- Help establish dependable data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation projects.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed, aligned with training and skill development.
